So I went to CVS on Friday and I couldn't believe my eyes makeup sell. Its was like a dream come.true all my favorite makeups brands on sale.  Revlon, Cover girl. Maybelline ...etc buy one get one 50% off.   They even had some Milani and NYC brands for  50% to. 75% off.  My face dropped. I could only get a couple things since I am on a tight budget but I couldn't pass this over. These are great stocking stuffers for those makeup addicts in your life. 

Also a quick FYI I asked one of the associates is this sale is going to be a final sale before the holidays.  I was told that they will have anither sale but it will be at least two to three weeks before they have a feel good one. I cannot wait and I will be very prepared for it. 

I cannot wait to try out these puppies I got all colors that are great for the upcoming holiday celebrations. So exciting. 

UPDATE: Went to CVS again today 12/11/12 and my jaw dropped ,screamed on the inside and walked with a hop in my step.  They were more 50%-75% off on more makeup.  They also added a sign that advertised the sale on selected cosmetic. It was like a scavenger hunt.  I quickly reach for the 75% items.  Which included Revlon lip butters in red velvet, gumdrop, and sugar frosting.  I also couldn't help.myself from reaching for the Revlon illuminace creme eyeshadow.

The new Influenster...

Influenster is a site that gives you an opportunity to try out products for free. All you have to do is take surveys for badges that describes you most. Than you wait until your chosen for a Voxbox. Your chosen by demographics of the badges you have. Like if you have the beauty page and theirs a beauty Voxbox you can be chosen. In each voxbox includes themed items like I recently received the Latina beauty voxbox. You can check out some of the reviews I did on products I received in the box.

I love the new look to the page too. Everything is there in one place and there is even task you can do. I love this because I can be more active as a influenster member than before. They also have a score system now that I think is a fun touch.  I am still learning and trying this page out, I am still confused about the scoring but Once I get it I will make any update. But for now I like what I see and can't wait for more to come from this site.

NYC New York Color

I love NYC new York color makeup. Since the day I discovered them at my local CVS. In my opionion they are great makeup for a great price.  Makeup on a budget. I have tried everything they have from their eyeshadows to their nail Polish. The only exception is the lip plumpers because I feel like I don't need them. 
In this blog post I will be talking about their liquid lipshine lip gloss. I received it again complimentary via Influenster. The one I received before was Nude York City, which I ended up buying again and carry with me everywhere.  I received the same one again in my Latina voxbox so I ended up sharing it with my lovely sister. Especially since she been trying to steal the one I had.  I also bought the burbury color as well a while back.

Here is me again raving about these lips glosses. They smell great with no bitter taste. I know I'm not the only one in the world that like a great tasting lipgloss.  Its not like I eat it.   They also don't make my lips dry or sticky. They actually moisturize which I love in any lip product.  Nude York City is my favorite out of the collection because it goes with everything and looks great on top of other lipsticks and tints.  Like recently to get myself ready for the fall I bought ultra moist lipwear in mahogany only coated.$.99.  By itself its already a great lipstick but I applied it over it and I love how it gave it a smooth shine with hints of glitter.

Long week and weekend.

This week was full of work.....work....and more work. I felt like a machine all work and no play. I was so ready for this long weekend. I hate the feeling of doing so much and feeling like I get nothing in return. But that is la vida. You have to be an adult and pay bills....bills.....bills. Oh how I wish I can win a big shopping spree one day. I have an addiction to shopping and I'm starting to realize it even more because I can not shop. It's gotten to a point where I feel myself getting depressed, such a shameful thing.  The most shameful thing is that I been biting my nails again. I haven't done that in years. My nails have been tortured and abandoned. I can't believe I let myself get to that point. For this reason I am trying to care for my nails and get them longer again and not the hideousness that they are now. For that reason I also have not been painting them and taking pictures. I been treating them every two days with Sally hansen Cuticle disolver and tending to my cuticles and applying clear polish.

Maybe its just me but its my belief that just like massaging your scalp to stimulate hair growth. Massaging your cuticles promotes nail growth. Along with Vitamin oils and Green tea. Yes, Green Tea. Once a week I  make Green Tea and while it's warm dip my nails in it for 15 minutes. Green tea has so many benefits for alot of things its so  interesting. Try googling " Green Tea benefits". I love google...lol. I also apply Nutra nails green tea nail hardener as a protector for my nails. Been using it for about 2 years and I love it. I buy it at Walmart.

Protecting your nails in its most fragile state will help it in the long fun to become strong and less likely to break. They are like your babies they all need love, nourishment, and protection to grow long and healthy. 

VEET wax strips

When I saw this in my influenster box I was like OMG time to have fun with my Boyfriend. Oh nothing dirty LOL. Just that my boyfriend is the perfect specimen to try out these wax strips. He grows hair so fast especially his back because its a place he cannot reach to shave. I asked and he agreed to try these. It was for fun but than I was amazed at how easy it was to use.

This is a easy, less messy way to wax. No mixing or heating in the microwave required. everything is already measured in strips for you. All you have to do is rub between your hand to warm up. Apply and rip. It isn't pain free that is something that is alway going to come with waxing. Can't do anything about that.  It comes with 20 strips that count as forty because when you Peel them like a banana you get two sides to use. They also come with 6 wipes. I don't really care for the wipes too much I rather use alcohol to clean any of the excess wax. 

Its been two and a half weeks since we waxed patches of his back. I have to say I am very amazed because by two days he already has hair inching its way back. But its just now that I'm starting to see the growth and its slow. He loved it too and wanted me to finish the entire back. I do recommend this to anyone who wants a 1-2-3 waxing.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen

On to another product that I recieved complimentary from influenster, Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen. I have seen this so many times at Walmart. They sell them in the back where the lotions are at. I was always attracted to the look and advertisement of the brand. I always told myself that I will get it when I have money to spend for it, but unfortunately with todays economy I never did. I couldn't wait to try this.
The first thing that I noticed about the product was the wonderful smell that came out the bottle. I imagined myself being on the beach in the sand with the sun shining on my face. I loved that the look on the bottle and the smell went together. I tried it on my hands first feeling it through my fingers. Unlike suntan lotions I have tried before the feel of Hawaiian tropic was creamier and like the bottle mentions is like a lotion. I continued by applying it completely on my hands and loved how soft they felt and the smell really stuck to me. It did not fade one bit. At the end of the day the smell was still there and the soft touch to my skin. I was also pleased to see that it did not irritate my skin. Like I have mentioned before I have sensitive skin because of my eczema. So alot of body products irritate and make my skin break out.
The next day I applied it all over, including my face. The face is the most sensitive because I have combination skin. Some products make me red and some make me look so oily. This was different. It kept it smooth and was great as a barrier to my makeup.

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen comes in SPF 12, 30, and 50, protects from UVA and UVB, and moisturizes great. This is amazing I felt like I was putting lotion on everyday. It made me feel even better because I knew at the same time that I was protecting my skin.
I still have the little sample bottle from influenster and went to Walmart to buy the big 6 oz bottle because this is something I can see myself using all year round. The weather is changing lets see how it works after the summer is over and see if I'm right. Hydration is a must in the weather to come.

Always Radiant Infinity

I was tempted a couple of time to try out the New Tampax Radiant. I guess the way they package it made me want it. All the pretty colors and sparkle....lol. So I found it funny how I was considered for Influenster Latina Beauty Box and found it in the box. I was like "oh yea!', The thing is I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to test them since I am irregular and my buddy Flo comes for surprise visits whenever she wants.

I guess it jinxed it because a couple of days later guess what. 

Now I just want to talk about what I don't like about certain pads. 

Too much padding:Sometime its so thick I wonder sometimes if its the reason babies love to take off their diapers because that is how I feel.

Not Absorbent enough: I hate when a pad guarantees to absorb alot of the mess but in reality just lets it sit on the surface so you have to change it much often.

Moving and pinching: Oh how i loath this. I hate when i place a pad perfectly on my underwear and when I pull up it moves and the sticky side is sticking to me instead or how bout when it moves to the side and you have to pull down adjust, but when you pull back up the same thing. Also some of them like to pinch me and are uncomfortable. 

After testing out The Always Radiant pad I have to say I am impressed. Mostly because it looks more like a panty liner than a pad. The only thing is that they are great for those light days. Once it gets heavy its too thin too handle it. I have to give this an A because its comfortable and durable. Doesn't pinch and smells good without irritations.
