The Many Uses of Ivory Soap

I received a voxbox through Influenster and in it included Ivory soap. In my honest opinion I have tried using it before and it was not for my skin, it dried me out. So I never tried it again. When I saw it in my voxbox I was like hmmmm....should I try again. I did and it did the same thing. This time though I notice that it was good for my face since I have oily skin on my face. Than Influenster sent me an email with a link for many ways of using Ivory Soap, I was amazed. Some reason I cannot find that link, but you can google many uses of Ivory Soap. I didn't have to let the soap go to waste and I still had the other bars from my previous purchase of them. So I let the fun begin.

I took half of the soap and used it to clean my makeup brushes. Works great didn't make the hairs fall, left my brushes soft, so it was great. I took little pieces of the soap with a knife and placed them in my washer with the laundry detergent I used and it was a great substitute for fabric softener. Left my clothes soft and fresh.  One of  the uses of Ivory Soap is a fun experiment with the kids, you put the soap in the microwave and watch it expand. Unfortunately I haven't tried it yet, but will keep you posted. I was thinking something with bright colors.

This is a very cute idea for kids, especially those taking baths by themselves for the first time. Reason is because Ivory Soap floats, they will never lose the soap and its a cute whale. 

Never have I thought of using soap for other reason but to wash hands and take a bath. This has made me think out the box. 

NYC New York Color

                              

I meant to do this review before Xmas but I had a mishap with my cellphone and It had to be replaced. So the pictures I had were lost with the phone. The good things is that I had a chance to use the Lip product again and see how it worked with the long Xmas day of eating drinking and having fun.

So in my Influenster Holiday Voxbox  I recieved NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine in "Nude York City". At first sight I loved the color. I like being natural in my everyday makeup or when I want my makeup done quickly. So the Beige color with tiny hints of glitter was great. When I applied it to my lips it does have a scent that reminds me of babydolls smell.  I was happy with that too. It easily glides on your lips without a sticky feel another plus. I would say it last about hours on my lips without my lips being rubbed with drinking and eating.



The things I really like about this is that it looks great on top of other colors. I tried it on lip liner, lipstick and tints, it looks gorgeous. Also they have Vitamin E so your lips are moisturized.  Its like having lipgloss without the stickiness or chapped filling afterwards. I can't wait to try the other 9 colors that they have.


I have tried the old liquid lipshine in Rose Quicksand and I loved the color. So in my opinion this is new packaging and formula for these lipglosses. Their lipgloss just got better and more fun. NYC products and like always they didn't disappoint me. You can get this and many NYC products at your local CVS thats where I get mine. imPRESS Press-on Manicure

In my Voxbox from Influenster I recieved imPRESS Press-on Manicure. These nails brings back memories of when I was a little girl and they had the nails that you apply the sticky to the back to. I loved them and this reminds me of just that. I tried them today and I have to say its  as easy as they say. These nails come in 36 colors and designs. They have glue in the back of them which is covered and all you do is peel and press on. The box says it last up to a week and I'm hoping it does because Christmas is Sunday and they match perfectly with my outfit. The color I got was "joyride" and its like a shiny deep purple pink or I guess you can say fushia. They are light so it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing them. These are perfect for people with short nails and for occasions where you don't have lot of time but you don' t want plain nails. Even though I got a solid color they do have patterned nails. They are gorgeous.

So they are packaged in a clear case shaped like a nail polish bottle. You just twist the cap off and squeeze the sides to open the case.

  On the back of the box you have the simple instructions on how to apply and remove the nails. The box includes a prep pad in which in my opinion is just a alcohol pad. I recommend using it quickly because it does dry fast.  Now on the box it doesn't go into detail on how to apply the nails on. But I found it easy to take the cover off then pushing the nails against my cuticles and aligning them than press firmly. I did it this way because I found out the glue is strong, it's possible to take them on and applying them again but you lose some of the glue in doing that. I than filed them a little because it does have some ridges on some of the nails.

 So Bam!! here are my nails with the impress on them and I love it. Very simple and like I said are great for those days that  you want to go out but you want your nails done quickly. What I like the most is that I don't have to expose my nails to harsh acrylic glue. Now I will be testing them out for a week to see if they hold for how long they advertise it for. I am clumsy so let see if they hold also I use my hand alot and wash them alot too. So they will be roughly tested to see if the can adapt to my everyday life. But on application and look itself I would like to buy more to save and have on those days I need a quick nail pick me up.

Montagne Jeunesse

Now I'm going to talk about is the Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask. That I have recieved from Influenster Holiday Voxbox. I am writing about it without trying it for long because I use this all the time. I use it once a week sometime twice depending on the weather and what it does to my skin. I have been buying this for months from Walmart which has them for like $1.14. I heard you can get them at other places like Ulta, Walgreen's, Claire's, Cvs and more. They are all natural and they are available for all skin types. All you have to do is read the right corner and it tells you what type its good for. 


The one I received in the Voxbox was the Passion Peel Off and it was a trail size. I have tried almost all of them and I have to say I love them. I have a problem with being oily and dry around my forehead. So I relax once or twice a week to help me with that problem. It leaves my face so soft and dry spot and oil free for a week depending on the weather. My favorite is the Deep Sea Mud Pac its like a minty smell and its anti stress.  I really recommend to try that. One thing I have to say is that PLEASE use scissors to slit the corner because you will not use the whole things. I can use one full size pack three time. What I do is roll it and clip it and put it in a zip lock bag to make sure it stays fresh.

 Now Out of all the products I only going to review two right now. Because the other products I would like to have more time with to give a truthful opinion. The first is 

 Lara bar: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip

Now this is all natural and kosher.  I tried it with my fiance. He said it reminded him of eating a Chunky. It tastes like a nutty granola bar.  You can really taste the nuts in it.  It does have a acquired taste so it's not for everyone.  But I really enjoyed it.  It had me wanting more and can't wait to try the other flavors. I'm on the search for these..lol

 Mentos chewing gum

I thought this was very convenient after eating the Lara Bar lol.  I always been a fan of Mentos products especially the fruity ones. This was refreshing. When you first chew it you can feel the center over your taste buds and you feel a cool feeling.  Than it tends to get a sweet mint taste. The flavor last very long too.  

The other cool thing that I found in the box was that there were coupons from impress nails and Larabar. I really love that I get to voice my opinion on things that are being sold in the stores. I do it all the time with family and friends. If I try something that I like and works I pass it along. Influenster is definitely something that I RECOMMEND to any one who love to try things and pass it along. It is so easy and not time consuming well not to me.

Nothing like the holidays.

Its December and I am so excited. Here comes the snow, the hot chocolate, family, and night out to get dressed up. I am also planning my winter nail designs and I'm so excited. Another reason I am so excited today is that I just got an email from a website i joined www.Influenster.com. Basically you sign up and collect badges which is very simple. The more badges you earn the more chances you have of being picked to get a monthly Voxbox which contains the months theme. Last month was the Cosmo Voxbox.
